It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Elphinstone Secondary (ESS). I feel honoured to join such a vibrant, caring, and dedicated school community, and I look forward to the journey ahead.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve heard so many wonderful things about the students, staff, and families here at ESS—the passion for learning, the spirit of collaboration, and the pride in our school’s traditions. I am eager to experience these qualities firsthand and contribute to the continued success of our community.

In these first few months, my focus will be on listening, learning, and connecting. I want to get to know the school’s structures and systems, meet with staff, and most importantly, spend time with our students. My goal is to make a personal connection with each student and ensure that every voice feels heard and valued. 

I believe that strong relationships are at the heart of a thriving school. Together, we can continue to create a safe, supportive, and challenging environment where every student has the opportunity to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
